MICRO GLASS BEADS FOR ROAD MARKING

They reflect headlight beams back to the driver, preserving the visibility of lines and road markings at night and in adverse weather conditions. Special treatment (adhesion-promoting coating and flotation coating) enhances retention in the marking layer.

Fine particle size fractions

Sizes: 100–600 µm, 125–600 µm, 200–700 µm

Designed for thin-film road marking materials.

Coarse particle size fractions

Sizes: 425–850 µm, 500–900 µm

Designed for thick-film materials, including cold plastic and thermoplastic.

APPLICATION METHODS

🌧️

Surface application of glass beads

For base formulations without intermix glass beads. Applied mechanically or manually over the freshly applied layer before curing or cooling.

🏭

Intermix (Premix)

Glass beads are mixed directly into the road marking material during factory production.

⚠️

Restriction for spray plastic

Glass beads with a particle size fraction of 106–600 µm may be incorporated into spray formulations upon agreement with the customer. Additionally, glass beads can be applied via surface application of glass beads in accordance with road marking specifications.
